Key instructions reminder:

  • There is no need to complete the SAQ multiple times. After you complete the SAQ, use the results (in PDF form) for your own internal documentation, or share it with your customers when you receive requests for information. No one receives the data you submit unless you send it to them.
  • The SAQ can be completed in under 30 minutes and in one session. Request for Completion of Supplier Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ)

Thank you for choosing to answer the Supplier Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ) as part of the Coloured Gemstones Working Group (CGWG) initiative. This initiative has shared value to all participants in the coloured gemstone supply chain. It aims to measure current practices by suppliers to members of CGWG and support enhanced responsible sourcing practices within the gemstone supply chain. All information shared is confidential, acts as a continuation of the dialogue which CGWG members have with their suppliers and is intended to allow members to support suppliers in improving ongoing business relationships in a spirit of collaboration.

How you benefit: By completing the Supplier Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ), you will benefit in several ways:

  • Efficiency: You will reduce the frequency of responding to individual requests for supply chain information from multiple clients by providing your responses once through the SAQ.
  • Uniformity: The SAQ provides a consistent and standardised assessment, ensuring efficiency and clarity in your responses. It is a joint effort by the CGWG Members to advance trustworthy and transparent practices in the coloured gemstone value chain.
  • Data Collection: You will be able to disseminate this questionnaire to your own suppliers, enabling you to collect supply chain due diligence data and perform your own risk assessments.
  • Confidentiality: Please note that no commercially sensitive information is collected in the SAQ. The data you enter in the SAQ is not shared with any member of the CGWG or any other party – only you can use the results as a tool in your responsible sourcing practices.
